embarked on a new book 'courage to surrender' by tommy hellsten

Just want to blog something that speaks to my heart today.

Here it goes (he wrote):
; this is why I write so much about weakness. This is why I write that true strength begins with acknowledging weakness; we are able to grow only to the extent that we are willing to embrace our weakness. In fact, true growth means that we actually become smaller, more profoundly aware of our powerlessness. Humility is essential to this growth. When we face our weakness, we also realize that we cannot survive alone; we need one another; we need communion. Weakness opens us to love, to what we need the most as human beings. And when we need love, we need God, who loves us not in spite of our weakness, but because of our weakness. God is the love that always respects our innermost self. God is the love that creates each of us as a unique being.’
